🍗 Tasty Chicken Tenders: step-by-step

Juicy, crispy, and full of flavor — these chicken tenders are easy to make and absolutely irresistible. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or party snacks.
✅ Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken breast (cut into strips)
- 1 cup buttermilk (or plain yogurt + splash of water)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (use panko for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying (or use air fryer/oven as a healthy option)
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Marinate the Chicken
Soak the chicken strips in buttermilk, salt, and pepper.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours) to keep the meat tender and juicy.
2. Prepare the Coating
- In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, add breadcrumbs.
3. Coat the Chicken
- Remove chicken from marinade.
- First, coat each strip in the flour mixture.
- Then dip it back into the buttermilk.
- Finally, roll it in breadcrumbs and press gently so the coating sticks well.
4. Cook the Tenders
Frying:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry each tender for 3–4 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through.
Air Fryer:
Spray tenders lightly with oil. Cook at 200°C (390°F) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.
Oven:
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Spray lightly with oil for extra crispiness.
